With so many great events going on this weekend some were surprised to hear that I wasn’t attending any of them. With a big non-car event going on in my second home of Emporia, KS I just decided to take the weekend off. I missed seeing my friends at the Marysville Autofest, Queen City Riot and Rockabilly On The Route, but I was able to sneak a great car event with some good friends too.
My good buddy Jack Marinelli called me a while back and told me I just HAD to be at his house this weekend. He was hosting some family and he wanted to have a BBQ and a mini car show. At the time I politely told him thanks but I’m not sure I can do it. As the schedule became more apparent to me, I carved out a few hours to drive down to his home outside of Derby, KS and hang out for a bit.

Butch has some seriously cool cars. Another future feature. If I quit my job I could get them all done. 🙂

I’m not sure the fish were biting but the boys caught a lot of moss.
It was a fun time with great food, some cool cars that I never tire of seeing and most importantly, family. Family of the blood variety and the brotherhood of the car. Thanks for a good time Jack, you sure put on a good shindig.
