A few weeks ago Straykatkustoms (Mick) texted me that he was going to go to the National Rod & Custom Hall of Fame Induction Banquet and the announcement of the Fine Nine qualifiers for the Tulsa Starbird show. It took me about 5 minutes to decide that sounded like an interesting way to spend a Friday night and get my ticket ordered. I won’t be missing another one, what a great experience! Tons of great folks were in attendance and we heard some great stories about the inductees, it was very worth it!
On to the Show!
This was the unveiling of the Vibrasonic, a kustom that was started by the late Elden Titus and finished with the help of a ton of his friends. It was very cool to see the car painted and assembled and out on display!
Congrats to everyone involved on this very cool build.
Tom Martinez brought out his killer hot rod again, love this car
A selection of Starbird builds were on display of course
Love this pickup, Justin Hartman’s 57 was part of the Fine Nine
One of my favorite kustom shoeboxes
Murphy brought his way wild Ford
We’ll start out with the one ride that brought the most comments (outside of the feature cars), everyone loves this Willys!
Lot’s of gassers in OK, and I’m not mad about that.
Hey! You! Customs are not supposed to have their hoods up! jk
Part 3!
Starting with some FED love today
Sorry for the short post on this one, there’s not much else in the gallery that’s H.A.M.B. material. As always if you want to see the whole gallery click any of the photos.
I’m heading out the door to cover The Chill show in Park City, KS where a bunch of my friends are hanging out this weekend. I know that the Zombie Speed Shop boys are there, as well as the Vibrasonic and I’m sure the crew from Chaotic Customs. Maybe we’ll see some surprise folks too, stay tuned!
See ya at a show,
Travis
