The show fliers all call out for traditional hot rods and kustoms only. The crowd did a pretty good job this year of sticking to that with minimum whining. I hope in the years to come we can see this show turn into another fantastic time capsule type show featuring the timeless styles of of the old days while encouraging folks to build their own rides in a way that will never go out of style.

This truck was built in Hutchinson a few years ago and if I remember correctly was a Street Rodder cover.

A couple of cars from the Throttle Jockeys club.
Some of the local VW crew stayed in Wichita for the event instead of heading up to Salina for a VW only event.
Remember folks, whenever possible take a kid to a car show. You never know what fun experiences as a kid might turn into a lifelong hobby.

Saw this one last week at the Ottawa show, and when I pulled into the show this week Shane Z was pulling some pinstripes on it.
The show even had a burlesque performance, they didn’t go all the way due to being out in public with kids around but it was still entertaining 🙂
Then it was time for the Awards.
