2015 GoodGuys Nashville Nationals Part 1

With 4 different events, this was another busy weekend where I had choices to make. I chose to head to the event that was the furthest away, the 2015 GoodGuys Nashville Nationals at LP Field in Nashville. Leading up to the event the weather was again going to be a factor, nothing new this year, but concerning since it’s about 745 miles from my home to LP Field. During the week I nervously checked the forecast and day by day it jumped up and down, but all of them said the same thing. It was probably going to be wet.

Around noon on Friday I took off from the day job and hit the road. Just before midnight I rolled into the hotel parking lot in Nashville, I was wiped out. Fast forward to Saturday morning, just as the week before it was raining when I woke up but this time the radar showed that once it moved through there wasn’t much of anything to follow. Time to head to the show!

As we arrived at the stadium I see that the the folks in Tennessee didn’t care about the rain nearly as much as the folks did in Texas for the Spring Lonestar Nationals. There were people and cars everywhere. Since the rain was still coming down it was time for a short detour into Nashville’s downtown area to grab a bite and wait out the worst of the rain. Soon we was back at LP Field and get some coverage of the event for you folks to enjoy!

My dad has 2 of these Cameo pickups from Chevrolet, I’m not sure why they chose to do the bed sides in fiberglas but the trucks sure look cool.

A little wet patina for you.

Here the rain had picked back up and you can see it in the shots.

I’m a big fan of 58 Chevys and this one is pretty dang cool.

If you haven’t already, get yourself subscribed to the blog, either at the top right of the page or the bottom of this post so that you don’t miss any further updates! I’ll be posting more from this event all week!
