Pete & Jakes Hot Rod Parts hosted their annual Open House Car Show on May 14th in Peculiar, MO. A bunch of stripers were on hand (oh how much more fun would this sentence be with one additional “p” huh?) and a ton of cool cars/folks that build & own them. There was an auction of a ton of striped stuff to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. That’s a good cause, help support them if ya can.
Here’s some of what I saw. Click on any of these shots to go to the whole gallery, there are a ton more shots than what I’ll share on this thread.
The first ride I saw was this slick Pete & Jake’s Shop Truck.
There were all kinds of rides at the Open House, not just H.A.M.B. friendly ones, but that’s what I’ll try to focus on here.
For those that don’t know, The California Kid resides at Pete & Jake’s, here’s a cool sculpture of the car.
Some shots of some of the pin striper’s pieces for the auction.
Some eye candy for someone’s ride
An under construction project in the shop.
Ron Myers was on hand laying some lines on some rides.
It’s all Herb’s fault that I made the trip, and I thank you for urging me to check it out, I had a really good time. Here’s Herb’s so fine 39.
Thanks to all the folks at Pete & Jake’s for a great way to spend a Saturday!
Part 2
Norm was in town, and although we never crossed paths (I’m not quite sure how I didn’t see him, but then again I wasn’t specifically looking for him), his too kool Kinda Frish Fish truck was fun to check out.
